Are you in the Chicagoland area and planning on attending the ICE conference in St. Charles this week?  Kristin and I will be presenting with our technology coordinator and Apple Distinguished Educator Carolyn Skibba.  We’ll be doing an iPad presentation going over many of the different ways that we’ve integrated the iPads to enrich our teaching this year.  Here is our session information if you can make it!

Thursday March 1st, 10:45-11:30 am (Session 2) – Salon III

Transforming Classrooms with the iPad

Mobile devices like the iPad are much more than just educational apps or games.  They present powerful opportunities for student authorship, 21st century collaboration, individualized instruction, and authentic data gathering.  Learn about transformative iPad integration through the experience of on Chicago school that is implementing one-to-one iPads in its first and fifth grade classrooms.  Teachers will share strategies, classroom videos, management tips, and lessons learned.
